Første væddeløb for raketfly en realitet

haha.. hold kæft det er spil af ozonlag!!

woohooo endelig kan jeg få lov at tune en raket til op over begge ører og spænde mig fast til den.. LOVLIGT!

hmmm.. wtf ?? det der bliver jeg bare NØDT til at se :) skal nok komme nogle vilde uheld :P

#1 det er et noget mindre spild af ozonlag end en vilkårlig gange 5 minutter i et formel 1.
De pågældende raketter flyver på ilt og alkohol. Alkohol er en fornyelig ressource, ligesom bio-delen af biobrændsel. Ergo ikke noget slemt her.
Raketflyene kommer heller ikke i nærheden af højder hvor ozonlaget kunne skades af direkte indvirkning. Hvis de gjorde det, så ville det nok være en af de mest kedelige sportsgrene (for tilskuerne).

Skade på ozonlag - nej. Drivhuseffekt - måske. Det er to helt forskellige ting.

Men ellers er jeg enig med #1. Definitionen på en raket er vel at den selv medbringer iltningsmiddel. Og hvorfor dog slæbe en masse tung ilt med når der er masser af det i den atmosfære man flyver i? Hvis det bare drejer sig om wow-effekten af en stor flamme bagud, så kan den laves med alm. efterbrænder...

Hvorfor? For at de rige amerikanere, vil bruge deres penge på det nu?

Det kommer an på om alkoholen er lavet af fossile brændstoffer eller ej. Dog vil jeg mene at det nok kunne være brugt mere fornuftigt og på den måde have gavnet miljøet mere.

På den anden side er det muligvis den her slags ting der skal til for at videreudvikle raketmotorer og lign. så vi hurtigere kan begynde at emigrere til en anden planet når denne er for overfyldt...

Samtidig kunne det muligvis være med til at udvikle raketmotorer så de bliver mere effektive og dermed mindre miljøbelastende. Så muligvis en skidt ting på kort sigt, men muligvis en god ting på lang sigt og det er jo ikke fordi der er nogen der gør noget seriøst ved klimaproblemerne nu, så stop whining alle sammen.

Det har vel sådan set ik rigtigt noget med sagen at gøre. Two wrongs don't make a right. Bare fordi man bliver mere mindre fed af at spise på burger end pomfritter, gør det vel ikke det ene mere usundt?

Jeg kan så godt se det er en god idé på langt sigt, for de vil jo udvikle på raketerne, og muligvis finde nye måder at øge effektivitet osv.
